ZX and 4D Unite with the adidas ZX Carbon

The worlds of ZX and Futurecraft combine with adidas’ latest 4D-infused creation: the ZX Carbon. Borrowing the famed scheme from the OG ZX 8000 ‘Aqua’, the new sneaker is a stylish blend of old and new.

Bearing a stark resemblance to the Futurecraft 4D, the ZX Carbon features a familiar combination of light blue, purple and yellow on the Primeknit upper. The low-cut silhouette has a sock-like feel and look, drawing on the design of adidas’ performance lineup. A neat texture is created thanks to different weave patterns and blue tones, which are subtly offset with the greenish yellow Three Stripe branding and dotted lacing (blue and purple laces will also be included, allowing the wearer to customise their pair). As for the sole, we get the classic Futurecraft look, as the 4D midsole appears in the standard ‘Aero Green’ tone. A black outsole rounds out this latest 4D creation.

After a slew of new 4D releases, it’s encouraging to see Team Trefoil go back to the look that put the tech on the map.

After releasing and selling out at adidas in the US, the ZX Carbon ‘Aqua’ will arrive at select global retailers like Hanon on October 16. Keep an eye on your local adidas stockists for a release.
