Forward-thinking design is at the heart of OZWEEGO’s reimagined aesthetics

History’s most iconic sneakers have always transcended their sports origins to become sartorial statement pieces, and few silhouettes embody that progression quite like the adidas Ozweego. Originally released in the 1990s, the fan-favourite build is back with a modern makeover, awash with the same flamboyant retro flair as its predecessors.

Based off the Ozweego 3 from 1998, the 2019 revamp takes the acquainted aesthetic in a new direction, adopting a futuristic contoured construction, and fusing it with the classic 90s elements that we all know and love.

Headlined with an easy-to-rock ‘Core Black’ colourway in men’s and women’s sizing, the all-new Ozweego makes use of a combination of mesh, suede and smooth TPU on the upper, resulting in an agile, lightweight feel. The unique lace closure and eyestay collar tubing work to evenly distribute pressure across the foot for added cosiness, while the reflective piping and searing ‘Solar Green’ burst on the Three Stripes combine to offset the darker tones.

Down below, the attention-grabbing EVA midsole unit brings just the right amount of chunk, making use of adidas’ famed adiPrene technology for another heritage homage to the OG. Improving on the all-day comfort we’re all familiar with, the forefoot comes armed with Adiprene+, resulting in a super smooth stride and targeted impact absorption.

Ozweego season is in full swing, with six more schemes rolling out alongside the ‘Core Black’, including the ‘Cloud White’, ‘Triple Black’, ‘Solar Orange’, Core Black/Solar Green, ‘Glow Green’, and Cloud White/Grey Three. Rest assured, there’s an Ozweego for every occasion.
