PUMA Celebrates 20 Years of CELL Tech With Relaunched CELL Endura

PUMA has reached back into its archives once again, this time bringing back the CELL Endura sneaker. The new CELL Endura mostly stays true to the original, but the 2018 version has been updated slightly for a more modern look. This includes a sleeker toe shape and digital stitching, as opposed to the hand stitching of the original.

The re-upped shoe is being released to celebrate the 20th anniversary of CELL technology. When it was launched in 1998, CELL’s blow-molded TPU was configured in a pattern of hexagonal cells for greater stability. PUMA considers the CELL Endura its top-tier model in the CELL range, and with the ’90s being back in fashion, it only makes sense for the German sportswear giant to bring back one of its most popular sneakers from that era.

As well as going back into its archive for the shoes, PUMA has dug up three retro ads, which you can check out below.

The CELL Endura drops worldwide on October 4th for R2 299, available in South Africa exclusively at Shelflife
